Teaching With Technology

Home Rationale Introduction Task Process Conclusion

Curriculum outcomes, technology and adaptations for special needs!  That's a lot!  Why can't I just keep doing what I've been doing?

Because- nothing stays the same. If you aren't moving you are standing still.

We are preparing students for the future.  Technology abilities are now considered basic employability skills in Canada and they are part of our Essential Graduation Learnings. The world is continually changing and so too must we.  There is always new knowledge and learning to apply to our craft.

Your quest today is to produce a lesson within the allotted time that you can use in the next month with your students.

  • Your lesson plan must identify at least one curriculum and one technology outcome from the NS Department of Education Curriculum Documents.

  • Your lesson should display a creative use of technology to achieve the outcomes.  Many ideas are included within this site to help stimulate your creativity.

  • You must also identify an appropriate way to assess your students.

  • A rubric is provided for you so that you will know exactly what is expected of you in the timeframe established.

  • Your lesson can address individual, small group or whole class needs.
