Here are some educational sites to visit for research, games and activities.

Social Studies

The following two sites can be used when doing research.

Visit the CBC News site to read about the Asian Tsunami Disaster and aid efforts from around the world.  See videos from countries that have been affected by the disaster.  Visit this site to learn about how you can help the victims of the Tsunami which occurred on Dec. 26, 2004 and how the Red Cross is involved in aid.  Visit the Veterans Affairs Canada site to learn more about the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War, and Peacekeeping.

Science  Visit the Atlantic Salmon Federation website to see the life cycle of salmon and other information on the Fish Friends program.  This site can be used to check out our weather as well as compare it to places around the world.  This site has learning adventures, fun and games.  If environmental issues, wildlife, nature and science is what you're interested in then this is the site for you.  Games, stories, coloring sheets and more!

Math  Visit this site to play games while practicing your multiplication facts.  A great site for educational-based games.
