 Journal Writing Assignment

Write about Scout from Jem's point of view. Describe your sister as  if you are Jem, her older brother and companion. You should try to assume the type of speech and the tone you hear Jem use in the story. You should include a physical description as well as describing her as a person, her personality, likes and dislikes. Use ONLY the language you hear used in the story and the vocabulary used by Jem, nothing from YOUR vocabulary  of the 21st Century. This should be no less than 100 words.
